Yozm Donut

Even if Buena Park’s shopping and restaurant destination The Source had only one Korean donut shop – the first floor location of Old Ferry Donut – it would be a must-visit for dessert fans, but there’s a second compelling option on the third floor: Yozm Donut. Located inside one of two food courts, and then occupying only a portion of the Bakery Cafe space, Yozm is easy to miss when you’re first exploring The Source, but hard to forget once you’ve looked it over.

Yozm’s display cases show off impossibly thick cream/fruit donuts, perfectly glazed brûlées, and flavors you’ve probably never seen before: kaya coconut butter, red bean cream, jeju matcha, purple sweet potato, banana milk scream, and blueberry cream cheese, as just some of the examples. Many of the powdered, colorful donuts appear to be glowing in the display case’s light, offset by the startling sight of “red bean butter” donuts that look like cheeseburgers, patties replaced with sweet beans and cheese swapped for large pieces of butter. These are heart-stopping donuts, either way you look at them.
