Immediately outside of Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal CityWalk is a shopping, dining, and entertainment district accessible from the theme park’s parking lot without having to buy admission tickets. An illuminated, interactive water fountain sits on the pathway to mall-class restaurants such as Bubba Gump Shrimp, Margaritaville, and Ben & Jerry’s, as well as shops such as Hot Topic, Billabong, and Abercromie & Fitch. More interestingly, there’s also a Super Nintendo World shop, a Universal Studio Store, a Universal Cinema movie theater, a concert venue (5 Towers Stage), and a new Hello Kitty Cafe for fans of the Sanrio characters.
CityWalk also hosts special promotions linked to Universal theatrical releases, such as opportunities to see costumes or buy limited edition souvenirs. Parking is discounted to $10 or less after 5pm or with a purchase of either a movie ticket or a meal from a full service restaurant.
