Spiritea and Cherubic Tea
Taiwanese fruit teas and desserts sans excellence
Originating in New York, the small Spiritea chain opened a Taiwanese fruit tea and dainty dessert shop in the Irvine Marketplace during a local boom in Instagram-ready tea shops. While the space was beautifully decorated and the desserts looked great, we weren’t impressed by the flavors or pricing; it closed in late 2020 and rebranded as Cherubic Tea, which closed in 2023.
