Newly opened in December 2024, RH Newport Beach – The Gallery at Fashion Island is the physical manifestation of a Google search for “how to decorate a mansion,” a 97,000-square foot furniture, home decor, and fixture showroom spread across four floors of a new building at a well-established Orange County mall. From luxe bedding, bathtub, and shower displays on the third floor to enclosed restaurant, open-air rooftop patio, and dual wine/coffee bar spaces on the fourth floor, The Gallery knows its Newport audience’s classic tastes – largely American, Italian, and Greek influences.
Though the second floor’s bedrooms, dining spaces, and living rooms quickly become repetitive thanks to overreliance on the same palettes of earthtones and inspirations, the first floor’s “baby & child” rooms follow different themes that are sure to provoke meaningful discussions between expectant couples and wicked stepparents alike; multiple dining room tables topped with lifesized nude sculptures will, too. More ambitious than any other Restoration Hardware location we’ve seen, this location certainly earns its Gallery name, and will be fascinating to watch evolve over time.
