Mess Hall Market

Tustin’s Mess Hall Market is a food hall located at Flight, a creative office campus within easy driving distance of the John Wayne Airport. With a modern industrial design and open interior layout, Mess Hall has miraculously retained some of its early and diverse small restaurant tenants despite the pandemic, though visitors have continued to find some businesses closed during normal operating hours. Mess Hall also offers morning and evening drinks at separate establishments.

We’ve visited Fonda Moderna (Mexican), The Little Greek (Greek), and Saigon Kitchen (Vietnamese) here – only the latter underwhelming, and now closed. Chorizo and el pastor tacos were hits at Fonda, with the lamb gyro earning raves at the Greek spot.

In our visits years ago, we were pleased by the plentiful indoor/outdoor seating and free parking at night, when the space was not as crowded as it apparently became during lunch hour. The hall also included nice areas for kids to play. More recently, Mess Hall began charging for parking, but now offers 90 minutes of free validation if you dine at one of their establishments.
