Macchiato Coffee House

Macchiato Coffee House in Santa Ana was part of a small chain of coffee, tea, and dessert shops specializing in unique items – particularly their Instagram-famous “Potted Plant Thai Iced Tea.” Served with crumbled Oreos and whipped cream on top, a large portion of tea in the center, and boba on the bottom, this drink was a fun star attraction with enough heft (and cookies) to constitute a full dessert.

The chain also served macarons, waffles, cake slices, creme brulee, popcorn chicken fries, tater tots, and a collection of hot and iced drinks. Macchiato Santa Ana closed in 2021, followed by the last of its stores in 2023.
