Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art

One of Laguna Beach's many small but beautiful private art galleries

Explore the largely walkable streets of Laguna Beach and you’ll find no shortage of private art galleries and sun-kissed shops selling decor and jewelry – the Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art (LGOCA) fits right in with them. Small but full of legitimately impressive art, this gallery was featuring color wave panels and master-class string and nail art by Ricky Hunt, bikini and beach paintings by Robin Hiers, a sunspots piece by Michael Torquato DeNicola, and multiple pieces of beautiful metal and glass sculpture work. Everything on display is available for purchase.

Note that the LGOCA should not be confused with the nearby Laguna Art Museum, or the LagunaArt.com Gallery, which relocated in 2021 to The Shops at Mission Viejo. Parking is free but tricky: We found orange cones obstructing its two dedicated spaces in an adjacent underground parking lot. Since casual viewers (rather than buyers) will likely only need 15 minutes to tour the current collection, we recommend this as part of a larger visit to Laguna Beach.
