Accessible from Anaheim without paying for admission to Disneyland, Downtown Disney is a shopping and restaurant district with options designed to appeal to both kids and their parents, including a Lego Store, Star Wars Trading Post, and Disney merchandise ranging from collectible art and fashion items to basic souvenirs. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel has an exit directly into the heart of the restaurant district, enabling guests to easily access three new Mexican restaurants including Paseo, while a nearby parking lot is closest to Taiwanese dumpling house Din Tai Fung and an outdoor sports bar with a giant-sized video screen for live sporting events.
Downtown Disney has its own security gate with bag inspections and metal detectors, so leave extra time if you’re making reservations to do something inside. Parking costs $10 for the first hour with up to three free hours with a $20 or greater validated purchase from any merchant inside.
