Disneyland

The second-most visited theme park in the United States is in OC

Since 1955, Anaheim-based Disneyland has been Southern California’s preeminent theme park, and a crown jewel in Orange County’s collection of attractions. Attracting over 17 million visitors a year, Disneyland includes multiple areas with rides, shopping, food, and costumed characters, including Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Mickey’s Toontown.

Ticket prices have become outrageously expensive in recent years, compounded by upcharges for everything from line-skipping passes to parking to on-site food. The adjacent Downtown Disney area offers shopping and dining experiences outside the park, including access to new restaurants such as Taiwanese soup dumpling house Din Tai Fung and upscale Mexican eatery Paseo. A separately ticketed park called Disney California Adventure includes its own collection of attractions such as Marvel’s Avengers Campus.
